There have been a couple of posts to this list that prove the SMC coating to
be tough enough to withstand cigarette butts.
I'm not going to try it myself because I don't have any "throwaway" lenses,
I'm too chicken to try it on my good glass, and I don't smoke anyway.
I usually use a tissue to clean the lens, then a blower-brush to get rid of all
the fibres the tissue leaves behind.
