Would you advice to anybody who has not ever in his life got into developing film to go for doing things by himself of rather using a processor?

Note I have a VERY small shower room (and NO bathroom) I have quite space contraints.

If you are really limited for space, I would say no, unless you really want the control.
A darkroom may only take up a few square feet of space at it's smallest, but the equipment still has to be stored when not in use.

In your situation, I think finding a rental darkroom, or working closely with a low volume lab that can give you excellent service might be the way to go.

If your interest is colour, rather than B&W, consider going digital and getting a good photo quality printer. While digital doesn't touch good optical printing for quality, it is certainly as good as the bulk of the mass market printing that is available, at leat in North America.
You guys in Europe may be luckier than us.
