It is PelEng :). I am telling you, because it my mother's tongue (Russian that
is :) ). Fine outfit you have, fine outfit...

Of course there are such people. I recently went digital, but I still prefer
primes to zooms. My FA 50/1.7 is almost always mounted on my *istD...

Of course they can. It is just that you will have to close aperture manually,
and you will loose automatic (jumping) aperture. And probably you will have to
put camera to Manual mode, which should be familiar to you anyway.
