Hi, Krishna, Welcome aboard! I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay. Lots of great stuff to learn about Pentax, along with photography in general (there's some real experts here - but not me <g>). Here's a little FAQ that Tom Rittenhouse (AKA Graywolf) compiled with input from many list members, which may explain a few things for you: http://graywolfphoto.com/pentax/pdml-faq.html There are no "rules" only guidelines. <vbg> I still have a couple of Spotmatic bodies, along with some m42 primes - lovely lenses. I take 'em out a couple of times a year, just to give them some exercise, and everytime I marvel at the lovely images they give me. I bet they didn't think that some 40 years later, they'd still be humming along. I don't own any digital, but I think that with an adapter, m42 will work with either Pentax DSLR, but only with stop-down metering (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Now that you're in, you can never leave (just like the Hotel California). You're in for life (just like the Mafia). You can never unsubscribe. So, sit back and enjoy the ride!! <vbg> cheers, frank -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson
