It's not too bad, it just feels like plastic, which
parts of it are. Tighter than the 28-70 but that's
not unusual when comparing MF to AF lenses.
Compared to something like the A 35-105/3.5 it feels
cheap.
It works very well though, once you get past the
plastic feel.
Things like the 35-105 spoil you, it's built like a
precision army tank! (Pretty too!) ;-)

My thinking on the 28-70 part is that perhaps it's
been improved and won't be as prone to seperation.
(Wishful thinking?)
I REALLY liked that lens, I may buy another yet,
in spite of the problem.
