Hi!

Ultimately, I have decided to move in to the fascinating world of black
and white photography. I have always like it but could not getting any
opertunity and time for doing that. (In research life it is very difficult
to get some time out). A few days back I got hold of darkroom and it has
almost all the equipment that I need to carry on by darkroom
activity. Therefore, today I did some marketing to purchase chemicals,
(developer powder, hypo crystals and acetic acid), plastic trays and
paper.

Now, I have a ridiculous problem. On the pack of the developer, it is
clearly mentioned how to make the stock and working solution but there is
nothing written on the polythene pack of hypo crystals. (It is a 500gm
pack).
How shall I make a stock and working solution of fixer? Do I need to add
anything else to the solution other than hypo crystal, I think acetic
acid.
Can you please help?

Please note that here developer and fixer mentioned above are meant for
print processing not for negetive film processing.

Another point that I need to know is push processing of a film. Suppose I
have 125 and 200 A.S.A film. If I uprate the film to 400 A.S.A, for how
long I should develop in the negetive developing tank? I think there is no
special procedures while developing prints from these uprated films. Am I
correct?

Expecting for a helpful reply.

Many thanks in advance.

With best regards,
Ayash Kanto.
