You are quite possibly correct. The technology is changing rapidly,
however, and within two years digital photography will be able to more
things and do them better than today, while film technology will not
advance much, if at all. "In the foreseeable future," therefore, 35mm
film production and sales will become a small niche, like that for
8inx10in sheet film is today.
