BTW, if discombobulated means confused, does combobulated (if there's such a word) mean the opposite? Like, I'm totally combobulated means that I've got my head on straight, and I know what's going on and all like that, right?

A suggestion there that it originates from "discompose". You seem to be a fairly composed sort of chap, so "combobulated" is probably a good description for you 8-)))))
