Sorry, but I disagree with you. Digicam has much more fragile moving
parts, and these DO fail. The retracting zoom mechanism plus its
motors and flexible ribbon cables and FPCB are quite fragile. And they
don't tend to like abuse of the lens area. Been there, seen it, done that :-)
