Yes, put the screwdriver into the screwhead, and give a few firm taps on
the end of the screwdriver with a blunt instrument (say, an old ME-Super)
- the try turning it. Repeat until it gives. Note that the most important
thing with screws - especially cross-head screws (Phillips etc) is to
apply downward pressure while trying to get them to release - and that
the driver be of exactly the right fit :-)
