First,welcome aboard.
Secondly,i'm sure some of the folk who have had their istD and Ds's longer than
I can help
a bit more
but:
My main concern for a camera is how it feels in my hands. The istD is actually a
bit
smaller than i would
like(i find the pz-1 perfect)but the Ds was smaller and thats my main reason
for the D.
Secondly i have only 2 AF lenses and the rest are M or M42 mount.I never
considered the
Pentax DSLR
(i bought a Nikon D1 in 2001 and a D2H last year) until the firmware upgrade
that enabled
the non A
and M42's to be used. That pretty much made up my mind. I just procrastinated
long enough
to get a
good price.<vbg>
The D needs the green button pushed and has Hyp M and P but i dont think you
need the
green button
for the non A lenses with the Ds and i dont thinjk it has Hyp M.

I have many CF cards and did not want to switch to SD.My only complain so far
is with
flash,but i seem
to have a better handle on it now,and the battery indicator.
