I'm missing quite a few, too. For example, the archive has 13 messages in the Super A/Program thread, but my email only has 8.
Before I subscribed to the list about 3 mos ago, I used the archive; a comparison my first week showed that the archive was missing 1/3 to 1/2 the messages, too. Neither is reliable.
