They'll both fall back to 1.1 or 1.0 depending on the computer setup.  
(Ok maybe it doesn't depend on the setup, I'm not
sure about the iMac it may pick the best mutually supported mode, on my 
PC I have to decide on 1.0 or 1.1 ahead of time).
