Quoting "J. C. O'Connell" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

I am curious, what is the least expensive ( new or used, past or
present)
Pentax 35mm SLR film body that allows you to set absolute f-stops
of "A" lenses ***on the body***. I don't mean program modes, I mean
manual setting
of the fstop ( like F8 for example) with the body ( while the lens is
set to
"A")???? If its not too big maybe a complete list of all the Pentax
bodies that can
do this?

I have no idea about what's the least expensive body, but aside from the
obviously high-end PZ-1, I know that on the ZX-10 the user can set aperture
from the body in the way you describe as well as having the option of using
the aperture ring.
I'm *guessing* that the "cheapie" ones that don't allow you to set the
aperture on the lens -- ZX-50, -30 and I think there was another one, maybe -
60? -- have metered manual modes in which you would be setting the aperture
from the body.
