Your batteries are dead. If they're new, they might be defective. Even one low 
voltage cell will cause the camera to behave strangely. And if you're using the 
grip, it doesn't matter if the grip batteries are almost new. If the set in the 
camera is low, it will mesbehave. Put a set of new batteries in the camera and 
see if that doesn't solve your problem.
