I got a supper deal on a Sigma 50mm f2.8 EX Macro on eBay. Came with a Pentax Rear Converter-A 2X-S. Both like new for $168. I though it might be the older not well regarded Sigma Macro due to the poor description and was pleasantly surprised to get the new 1 to 1 focusing lens and in excellent condition. The poor lens description likely help with the good deal.
So far I like it a lot. Looks nice, works well and seems very sharp. I have two niggles with it. The manual focus feels crappy. I touch loose and no Pentax buttery smooth. Although not feeling great it does get the focusing done just fine. The other is the is no clutch in the focus so you can't manual focus when in AF. If you shut the camera off with the lens at full erection ... er.. extension, it is necessary to turn the camera on and refocus or switch to manual focus and twist the lens back to its more subdued size. I'm Happy Powell
