What are peoples comments on the depth of field of all of these
scanners?
I was about to get either Nikon IV or 4000, until I read
http://www.nagabyte.com/coolscan/ and http://www.pytlowany.com/nikontest
which indicate you are unlikely to get edge to edge sharpness. This is
one of the things that annoys me with many of my slides - the mounts do
not hold them perfectly flat, and my projector obviously does not have
enough DOF to correct for this. Are the other scanners any better?
