you've had more luck than i then in recovering these files. now you have to 
wonder why it was screwed up. no crashes, no virus, etc?

Thanks, Herb - I'll keep that in mind in the future.
I have backed up the whole directory tree and then just copied it back 
into place without any problem.

I do still have the moved file, but it won't import.  Looking at it with 
just WordPad I can see that it is not the right info. I'm guess that it 
got screwed up when it was accidentally moved.
