Heck, I haven't even asked you yet! Wouldn't you rather deny any knowledge on a bigger project? <g>

I inserted an SD card (as used by my Optio S4) into my Lexar Media card reader, and a drive icon appeared on my desktop.
I clicked that, and iPhoto opened, with thumbnails of all my card's photos. Some 113, as I recall...
I moved several to the trash, then made new folders that appeared in the left hand side panel.
I named the folders, and moved most of the remaining thumbnails into their respective folders. Nice and neat.
I trashed a few more, then randomly checked the content of the various folders, to see if everything was okay, and finally emptied the trash...

GASP!!! All of my folders emptied out! Not a single image left! The folders were still there, but when I highlited each one, the text down at the bottom said "0 images." Egad!

Fortunately, I had previously put all the images in various other folders on my hard drive, so I was able to find the images again, but still... scared the heck out of me!

Any idea what happened?

A window did come up, asking if that was really what I wanted to do (empty the trash can) so I carefully checked all the steps. None of the folders were highlited. Just the trash folder.
So I said yes.
Wouldn't you have?

I've no idea what happened, so I thought I'd ask. I've become very suspicious about how iPhoto works, as you can imagine...

Comments anyone?
