1) no old lenses will meter
2) pre-AI lenses won't mount/could damage the mount (sic!)
3) AI'd lenses - depends. God knows... depending on who did the
convesion.

so, if he doesn't want to go nikon because of ability of better pro bodies
(like I did, with prospect of D1x D2x...), tell him to choose Pentax
