I had this sort of problem as well Andre, that said I also had problems with
the USB printer jamming up the mouse when it went into action as well.  I
tried switching ports, cables, updating drivers and checked motherboard IEQ
and interrupts until I was blue in the face but all to no availe - but by
all means try :-)

In the end I stopped messing about and bought a fast USB 2.0 4 port card and
plugged everything except the mouse in to that. Worked like a dream, runs
much faster than the USB 1 on the motherboard, and only cost me �15.
