I bought one of each of them (both in UGLY condition) for a throwaway price (less than $10 each) from KEH. The f/4 model has a damaged filter thread and some minor marks on the front side of the front element; it's usable as long as I put a good shade on it. The f/3.5-4.5 model has either lens coating damage or element separation inside ... not usable, I'll give it to a friend of mine who needs some of the mechanical bits from it.

The A35-70 f/3.5-4.5 is the same optical formula as the F35-70/3.5-4.5. I found one of the latter in "as new" condition for $45. It's a very good lens, a bargain at that price. Focuses well manually, contrasty/sharp/good rendering, and is very compact and light.

There are 2 A35-70s.
A 3.5-4.5 that I've seen go for as little as $25.00,
it's a very decent lens.
The other is the A35-70/4, it's a fantastic little
zoom and I've seen them offered for as much as $125.00,
I paid a little over $40.00 for mine a few years ago.

About how much is an A 35-70 zoom going for these days. I had bid
on one on e-bay was high bidder, but the reserve was not met. Admittedly, I was
looking for a bargain. I'm just wondering if I'm that off base with price.
