Good point, Mishka. The Toyota you buy has as good a chance of being made in Cambridge, Ontario or Kentucky (is that where the plant is in the USA - I'm sure there's more than one anyway) as it does of being made in Japan. For over 30 years, since the advent of the Auto Pact, parts and completed cars have crossed the Canada/US border unhindered by trade restrictions. The auto industry in our countries is virtually one and the same. And, as you mention, with takeovers and mergers, along with the use of common parts, it's hard to tell what the nationality of a car is these days. cheers, frank -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson
