All the years I've driven by the entry road, I've never had the nerve to take the offramp over and down to San Quentin!
Now I know what it looks like...

This is just one of those "afterthought" pics. While making photos yesterday it crossed my mind that some people might be interested in seeing where San Quentin prison is located. Most people here have probably heard of the place through movies or news reports, and may have seen images, real or made with "movie magic" of the dreary or dark interior. However, the prison is situated in a lovely area, and has great views of San Francisco and the bay.
This is not a great shot - not real sharp, not thoughtfully composed - just taken to show the site of the prison.
