Just an add-on:

C1 eliminated all hot pixels in the file, while NC left them there. C1
also has IMHO nicest noise pattern, with NC coming second and ACR at
the complete rear (I really dislike theirs). Both C1 and NC produced
good shadow details, with NC slightly less so (because of zero base
fog eating some), while C1 has a teeny bit more shadow detail but also
a higher base fog. Both differed a lot in how the noise looked and
removed.

With all the options there, I really like to shoot just JPEGs! Testing
all the trials for the best RAW converter is mindless - IMO there is
not one best - some have better workflow, some much better quality in
the shadows, some in the highlights although they have bad noise
otherwise (ACR highlight recovery was the very best but the noise and
shadow detail the worst). And all this is probably somewhat different
with each camera model...

It's like all the combinations of developers, papers and film -
testing to find your holy grail. I will just stick with what I know
;-)

Good light!
