Very nice picture, Markus. Love the light and the colors. Do the swans show good detail at high resolution? It's always tough to judge a lens on a web image. Especially for my old eyes. I haven't tried a 2X converter/ Vivitar 70-210 shot yet, but it's on my list of things to do. Perhaps I'll just shoot something in my yard as a test. I'd love to see more of your shots. Good work.

Hi Paul
some days ago I asked your for some comparison shots with your Vivitar
Series 1 zoom at
210mm 3.5 together with the A2x-s Pentax converter.....

Since I still and only use film, we can not really do a fair comparison, but
to get an idea, here is a link of a handheld swan shot at sunrise with the
Pentax SFXn, Pentax A70-210mm zoom and the A2x-s Pentax converter at F 4
420mm, distance ~15 meters.
I used a polarizer too and Superia ISO 400 negative film. I scanned the
negative at 3200 dpi with the Canon scanner and adjusted the uncropped image
for the web.
I think, with a digital Pentax, it would have been even better, what do you
think?
Have you got anything with your Vivitar combo to compare in between?

I like the warm red coloring of the morning sunrise and the expression of
the swans here a lot:

Of course I had a lot of bad photos (unsharp, wrong exposure) with this lens
combo on my little morning test trip too.....
I have some more of the good ones to post if you like to watch them...

greetings Markus
