I rather like the first one - tulips. Or is it those strange to me yellow poppies?
The flower outside the "frame" makes it sing to me. I've seen one or two local authors deliberately P'Shoping their images so that the content would cross the frame...
The second one is good technically. I think I can see what you were trying to do. But, but - it leaves me indifferent.
