Yes.  With the D, just about every shot in mixed lighting of my kid's
performances looked underexposed.  Some work and tweaking in ACR improved
the shots.  I think it may have something to do with poor exposure
capability with high ISO settings but never tested nor confirmed this.  I
just lived with it....  No attempts yet at this kind of photography with the
20D yet, but I'm thinking it will most likely react the same way.
