If you can wait for one with plenty of long posts that would be even better. 8-)

My question is in regards to a SMCP-F 17-28 fisheye I just received
from KEH, a 'bargain' condition lens. It is very clean of course and
seemed fine mechanically but I've found that the focus is pretty far
out of whack. It focuses well beyond infinity at all focal lengths. At 17mm it's at infinity focus at an indicated 1.7 feet. At 28mm it's
at infinity focus at an indicated 4 feet. The minimum focus distance
at 17mm seems to be about 4-5 feet and for 28mm about 1.5 feet. It is
extremely vari-focal.

Is this a straight return to KEH or does anybody know of any quirks
with this lens that would cause these effects?

Thanks in advance,
Michael
