Yeah, I phoned Douanes before I brought the lenses up.  They told me there
would be no duty (they did ask the coutry of manufacture - in this case,
Japan), and there wasn't.  You do have to pay the tax, but that's not the
same.

I've always heard that there is no duty on photographic equipment going
from Canada to the US, but that there *is* duty on the same stuff coming
from the US to Canada.  I'm thinking used equipment specifically, so it
might be different for new stuff.
