Sounds like you got the Ricoh version.
Look at the mount, the Ricoh has just one pin which
is active when set to "P".
If it has the "A" contacts *AND* an extra pin it is
the "KA/R" meant for Pentax and Ricoh both.
CAUTION: The "P" pin likes to get stuck in the
autofocus coupler on Pentax cameras, making it a
bear to remove the lens.
Filing the "P" pin off solves this problem.
