I have a friend who just bought a Canon Rebel XT. He's a "path of least resistance" kinda guy and already had some Canon gear, so it was a no-brainer. I haven't taken any photos with it (no CF here), but so far I can say the following as compared to my -DS:

- Much more "plasticy" feel.
- Color LCD seems visibly much coarser.
- B&W LCD seems odd on the back, but mainly because I'm used to it on top.
- Plastic lens mount on the kit lens seems laughable, but it looks great through the viewfinder.
- AF segments seem more responsive and obvious than the -DS
- AF seems quite a bit smoother and faster

More to follow... so far there's nothing too notably different... it's the little things... :)
