Many raved about the Sigma APO on film.
Has it been evaluted on digital?
How of the standard, non-APO, verison?

The match between teleconverter and lens is always particular to the specific lens and teleconverter in question. If a particular lens and teleconverter mate well and the primary lens performs well with a digital sensor, the combination will almost always do well.

It's hard to generalize beyond that. I've been using the Pentax Automatic 2x-S teleconverter and getting good results with the FA135/2.8 and F100-300/4.5-5.6 lenses so far.
