I used the Sigma EX 2x and 1.4x TCs with my Sigma AF 300 APO macro with the *ist D. The results were fantastic. Unfortunately my home-based web server had a catastrophic hardware failure so I can't show you any of those pictures. You may recall the cormorant, the landing seagull, and other birds. I never experienced CA and the images were pretty darn sharp. Several shots were done stacking both TCs which reduced contrast but that can always be pumped up in post-processing. HTH Christian
