Jostein, lens coating do not absorb UV. Lens glass by itself blocks
most of the UV light.

Films reaction to UV varies wildly indeed. In my
limited experience (tm ;o) ) Kodak Elitechrome are more susceptible to UV
halation than Agfa and Fuji slides.
Hugo would better do a controlled experiment: same scene, same day,
same film and same lab. Then he might support his conclusions.
