It's good for sport here, right now. For the future? What concerns me is
that resources will not be used well. There was an opportunity to build what
will now be the new Wembley Stadium on the site of the Dome, which has
massive transport infrastructure already in place. Now that site is vastly
underused. How will the funding really pan out over time? Will it be like
Canada, having the residents of the host city paying for decades after? Most
of the sports venues currently built are always struggling for cash to keep
them up to standard, so where will the money for new structures upkeep come
from in 2022 when it is a memory? In the meantime, I'm going to be living on
the outskirts of a building site for the next seven years.

I hope at the end of the Olympics, the redeveloped area has a real future
use. Or will it all be housing ten years later?

Malcolm
