DOF is VERY narrow. it was shot at f4. the nose is very sharp to my eyes but the cat's eyes are not in focus which takes away from the overall image. WRT to lack of contrast and flatness: I dunno.... I REALLY like the "quality" of the image. The light was very soft (overcast/sunset ~8pm last night; and slightly back-lit). As Shel stated, I think this combo would be pretty good for portraits. bokeh IMO is very smooth which adds to the possibilities. Anyway, thanks for looking! At least this one had actual Pentax content! Christian
