Why would anyone want an autofocus macro lens?
I've used mine (FA 100mm f/2.8) in AF while chasing bees around. It worked surprisingly well, but nowadays I only use it in manual when doing macros.
When I'm using it at longer distances I often use AF. At non-macro distances the scale is very bunched up. With the focus limiter on, infinity to 2 feet is about 1/5th of a turn... so the AF is very very fast.
