Most parts of most city centres, and all mainline railway stations, in the UK are monitored on CCTV. Buses in London and other parts are also covered by CCTV. It has often been used in police investigations, and in this case the police have said that they identified the bombers from the CCTV coverage at King's Cross railway station.
