I don't follow your reasoning Mike. Care to elaborate?

Canon likes to be seen to be "ahead" of the herd. It junked (for want of a better term) the FD mount as it was not going to work with autofocus. Turned out to be a solid decision business wise as well as an excellent one technically.

If body IS works better than inlens IS.......who knows what will happen?
