Mike ...you're getting off topic. The camera I'm asking about is the 5n. That's the one I'll be using, not a Zippy ... <LOL> I'm not getting the
wrong camera. Someone on the list is kind enough to loan me her 5n so I
can take advantage of the auto-bracketing feature. I'm getting what was
kindly offered as a solution to a specific situation. I could use one of
my LX, but that means changing the exposure at each shot and possibly
refocusing as well The autobracket feature will make a boring,
uninteresting photo project move along quite a bit faster and then I can
get back to using a real camera <GD&R>

Bad habit I've got into, I know....

Don't actually disagree with you, just pointing out that there is a camera that will do many of the things you want.

What exactly is it that's going to be so boring - and that you have to use autobracketing for?

That begs the question: can you initiate mid-roll rewind? I imagine

that

in any rewind scenario, the film will be completely wound into the
cannister - correct?

Z1-p. Midroll rewind from a button press and turn of a wheel; leader left out by setting a Pentax function. You are getting the wroooooong camera.......
