Just how tough IS pentax equipment?
The LX is pretty tough, and has really good weather sealing.
To get a tougher camera, you either need to bite the bullet and get a Leica
M (M is short for "money", and it's not an SLR) or a Nikon, probably an F3,
though the F2 is more rugged, or a Canon F1.
The Pentax kit will weigh about half as much, and take up 1/3 less space.
I'd tale a 24, 50 and a 150, and would think about sneaking in a
teleconverter as well.
