What Cotty said. Stage lights are almost always bright enough for available light photography. Use high speed film if you have to. I'd bring some Tri-X and some Delta 3200 or Kodak TMZ 3200. You can rate either of those last two at 800 or 1600 if you have enough light. The Delta 3200 is very nice at 1600. If the performers are under spotlights meter their faces with a spotmeter and overexpose one spot if the performers are light-skinned. Go with the meter reading if they're of medium to dark skin tone. If the stage lighting is even, you can of course use any center weighted or averaging meter reading. If you can get on stage before the performance, take an incident meter reading.
