I guess I'm just way out of the loop. What's wrong with expending a little effort and time if you're doing something you like? A few years ago I decided to refinish a table. I set it up in the back yard, and spent most of the weekend hand sanding the top, enjoying the sunshine, the tactile sensation of sanding, and the pleasure of accomplishment. During that weekend a friend came by, saw what I was doing, and brought over his power sander, suggesting that I could finish the job in 15 minutes. He just didn't get it! Shel
