Very, very few buildings are under copyright here in the US. Only a few and
they use their edifice as their LOGO. If you use a photo of their edifice
for commercial use, it implies their endorsement. If you just sell a photo
of their edifice for the photo's artistic value, they are probably without
complaint.

Mercifully we don't have quite the same system over here in the UK. If I
were to publish this picture

as a postcard and sold it through some shops in London, I would not
expect Sir Norman Foster's lawyers to tap me on the shoulder. If there
was a recognisable human face in the shot, different story.
