Given the presence of smc lenses, you're probably right.

Not all of them have the SMC coating. And (I think, I am not an expert in digi) some HP and Casio cameras have Pentax (SMC?) lenses.

Wghile we are at it, dpreview did not like the lens of the (pricey segment) 750Z. And it is SMC :-)
