I assume that the batteries that I'm using in my *ist-D will give you
similar results in the Ds. I'm using two sets
of Energizer 2500 mAh AA batteries, they came in a set with an 8 hour
charger. They last for more than 800 exposures
or several days with moderate use, say 100+ exposures a day, between
recharges, (that's for each set by the way). I
also have a set of non rechargeable lithium cells for back up though
I've never had to use them. There's also an AC
adapter that's available. I picked up a genuine Pentax version for a
relatively good price, ($40.00), but I believe that
there's a generic adapter that will work which can be bought for 1/2 to
1/4 what I paid but I don't remember who makes
or sells it. I'm sure someone will supply a link. You can go crazy
buying batteries but the ones I have are available in
most discount stores, and they seem to be very good.

Subject say it all. What are YOU using, what works well, what doesn't?
What sort of battery life are you getting, and under what conditions?
Will the camera work on household electricity with a converter of some sort?
