Top post when appropriate. Bottom post when appropriate. When is
appropriate?
- if there is a large body of quotation to which you're adding a line
of commentary, adding your comment at the top seems better.
- if there's a question or other such discussion in a quotation you
are answering directly or adding to point by point, a bottom or in-
stream style is more natural to read.
Again the key is:
Think before you send a response and format it so that it is
easily read and understood.
