I'm not saying "Only if ..." - I'm just saying that I'll jump up and down, and shout rather loudly, to make sure that my point is heard. (But I promise not to repeat it 100 times, or to insult everyone who has the temerity to disagree with me) We can't (and shouldn't try to) design the camera(s) for them. We can just provide them with better data for them to estimate how much we care about a given feature (which, more or less, means how much we would pay for it), and let them feed this into their models which predict how many camera sales they lose for every dollar on the price.
