NO way jose, my post is logical and based
on the way the real world works. That's my
contention. If you want to say its "shit" theory
then I can say your opposition is "shit" theory
and ask you to prove it ISNT TRUE.

I do not have to prove or disprove my statements
any more than you have to prove or disprove
yours. So the bottom line is that position is my
contention. If you want to PROVE me wrong
beyond just saying its "shit" then you are welcome to do
so but the one who will have to do the homework is you
not me.

I suggest you read it again because
I said it COULD cost them less than nothing.
I didn't say I KNEW FOR AN ABSOLUTE FACT that it
definitely would. And I followed it up with
the basic fact that adding features is a decision
thats relatively simple if you can add a feature
for less cost per unit than you can raise the selling
price without hurting or increasing sales then its profitable and should be
done...
Basic business ecomonics. I never said only offer
at same selling price. READ THE THREAD.

And one more thing, this is kind of embarrasing
to tell you , there IS NO WAY to absolutely prove or disprove
these things so save yourself some time and don't
bother to research it..They are done based on best
estimates but sometimes things don't work out
as well as planned and sometimes things work
out much better than planned. Its not an exact
science. That's why I said COULD.

Prove it.
Take into account the entire DSLR market, and not just this inbred group of
enthusiasts.
Give us the numbers, how much exactly, taking into consideration the extra
R&D for the camera, ramping up the extra asembly, etc. In fact, please list
all costs of adding this feature, right down to the addition to the owners
manual regarding the use of non A lenses for us.
Then tell us how much more they could sell the camera for before it lost
sales based on lack of other features or performance for it's price class.

Then show us if it is a win money or lose money thing.

You came up with this shit, now prove it.

Or shut up.
